Aimed at the plastic deformation and the burrs on the sprocket wheel tooth face of a sintering machine while meshing with a rolling wheel
the tooth contact stress was calculated by using the Hertz theory. After the low load capacity reason of the sprocket wheel was analyzed
the methods of increasing the load capacity were given from three ways: determining the structure of the rolling wheel
choosing the pressure angle of the tooth sharp and decreasing the friction of the tooth face. The distributions simulation of the contact stress with nonlinear FEM in the ideal working condition and the actual working condition is carried out
the damage reason of the tooth face is further showed
and proved the availability of the method for improving the load capacity is proved.
