two kinds of parallel hybrid power trains are selected and applied in a certain SUV. The components of the two power trains including ISA
engines
batteries and transmissions are chosen according to their typical configurations and functions. Based on the Advisor software
simulations are carried out in a certain SUV model. The target of the simulations is to achieve a better fuel economy and emission as well as meet the required driving performance. Finally
the results of the comparison between the conventional SUV and the hybrid SUVs are discussed.
