Based on the theory of multi-body system and motion of CNC gear milling machine

the meshing model of CNC helical gear milling with the double dick-type cutter was built

and the spiral surface equation was established. The result indicated that the method of double dick-type cutter milling can reduced the tooth profile allowance and improved the asymmetry of tooth profile allowance.
