This paper listed some targets on the backlash design in the new and former national standards. Explained their significations existed in these standards. Analyzed the differences between the corresponding targets. Based these pointed the problems on the application of the least basklash jbnmin and on the calculate formulae of the up-deviation width of teeth in the backlash design and calculate. Analyzed the reasons existing problems. Illuminated the right applying and calculating means.
