The paper analyzes the ways of automatic binarizing process of the gears’ image manipulation

and discusses the characteristics of Optimal Threshold and Adaptive Binarization separately and interactionally. Combining the methods of Full-scale Optimal Threshold and the Local Dynamic Threshold in different proportions

strengthening the fringe of the image by means of Laplacian factor

are proved available to get a better result of image processing.
