a new thermal condition model of gear grinding has been suggested for the analysis of the conical-grinding-wheel-workpiece system. And the surface temperature field of ground tooth flanks has been analyzed and calculated using the finite element method and the model of one-dimensional therm-conducting bar. Furthermore
to observe the temperature change of ground tooth flanks caused by different grinding wheels and technology parameters
series analogous gear-grinding experiments have been carried out
with electroplated CBN conical grinding wheel(ECBNCGW)
ceramic CBN conical grinding wheel(CCBNCGW ) and corundum conical grinding wheel(CCGW) respectively. The results show that the temperature increment of ground tooth flanks with ECBNCGW is only fifty percent of that with CCGW and lower than that with CCBNCGW
the experiment result matches the calculation result well.
