the pitch bearings in large wind turbines are often double-row four-point contact ball bearings.The pitch bearings work in harsh conditions and stand large load.Grasping the load distribution is of great importance to the improvement of performance and reliability of pitch bearings.The 3Dmodels of pitch bearings are first developed with ANSYS Workbench software
and then the static contact mechanics analysis is carried out
the load distribution and bolts preloaded in different working conditions are studied.The results show that the maximum pitch bearing contact load between the ball and the channel with increasing bolt preload decreases first and then increases
under the working conditions
