A mass friction heat was generated during the process of multi-plate wet type friction brake
which will leading to the local high temperature
surface oxidation and the changing of material coefficient.Among those factors
the change of thermal fatigue and heat friction coefficient is essential to the braking stability.By establishing the mathematical model of friction heat and convective heat transfer based on axisymmetric gradient changing
the transient temperature and the relationship among braking time
friction coefficient
thermal wear volume and thermal wear rate are analyzed. The results show that change of temperature has great influence on friction coefficient and thermal wear
so these parameters can be controlled by adjusting the temperature during working in order to decrease accident incidence during emergency braking or constant braking process. The study provide theoretical basis for the research of friction characteristic and wear relative properties of new materials.
