A new type of gear is proposed and the processing method is pointed out
the surface equation for cylindrical gear with cycloidal shape tooth based on hobbing mechanism is derived.A precise modeling program of gear for different modulus and different parameters of cycloid is developed.Both finite element method(FEM)and analytical method for stress of spur gear are compared
the results show that the accuracy of calculating based on the finite element method(FEM)is guaranteed.Finally
by using the finite element method
the cylindrical gear with cycloidal shape tooth bending stress and contact stress are analyzed.
