Taking a commercial vehicle drive axle housing as an example
the finite element model base on the solid element of the drive axle housing is built. On that basis
the static analysis and modal analysis are carried out. The corresponding distribut ion of stress and deformation
the natural frequency and vibration shape under the first six modes are obtained and the design rat ionality is confirmed. Taking the lightest weight as the objective function and the structural static strength property as the constraints
some effective conclusions are obtained through the size optimization.
