Flange coupling is a connecting component for transmitting torque. Refered to the torsional stiffness principle of composite shaft
the torsional stiffness and maximum torsional angle of flange coupling are calculated and verified by finite element analysis. The size sensit ivity is analyzed by using KarushKuhnTucker optimized conditions and ALE moving mesh. A certain theory basis to improve overall st iffness and reduce vibration of flange coupling in nonstandard design field is provided.
