Accurately prediction of the dimensional accuracy of the forging is one of the difficulties of study on cold forging of spiral bevel gear. A new method is proposed to characterize the dimensional accuracy of cold forgings and combined with the finite element method to predict the dimensional accuracy of the cold forging of spiral bevel gear. And the influence of frict ion factor on dimensional accuracy of the cold forging is analyzed. The results show that the method is simple and can effectively evaluate the dimensional accuracy of the cold forging of spiral bevel gear. When the other conditions are fixed
the dimensional forging accuracy is lower with the frict ion factor m is greater.
