A virtual prototyping simulation model is established based on contact force through the joint modeling（geometric modeling and constraint modeling） of planetary mesh-type CVT system in UG and ADAMS.By selecting appropriate contact force parameters

the dynamical characteristic curves are obtained.The experimental study on the virtual prototyping shows that the system has the feasibility of over-zero variable speed.It is verified that the speed range of this system is larger than planetary cone ring continuously variable transmission system.The results of this study is very useful in further studies of this issue.
