In order to investigate stress distribution in the meshing process of gear pair
a rigid-flexible gear model is established
appropriate load and constraint are setup within the ANSYS Workbench environment to simulate the meshing of gear pair by using Transient structural analysis.The Von Mises stress distribution and tooth contact cycle of gear pair in meshing process are obtained.The results show that the maximum Von Mises stress concentrates in the tooth root
and compressive stress is the main presentation in maximum Von Mises stress and the percentage of compressive stress time is 66.7% in a single tooth meshing cycle.Furthermore
in the meshing process
when a tooth surface will be quit the meshing zone to develop single tooth meshing
the tooth surface contact stress will increase sharply until the maximum value is reached.In the process of gear pair meshing
