The operational principle of wide V-belt CVT is introduced

the importance of the calculation of equivalent friction coefficient of V-belt is elaborated drive in the overall wide V-belt CVT design

some drawbacks of the existing formula are analyzed.Based on Euler formula of flat belt and the actual performance of wide V-belt CVT

the periphery friction and radial friction are taken into consideration

puts forward another formula of the equivalent friction coefficient of wide V-belt CVT is put forward

and three kind of different direction angles of friction are discussed.
