Currently combined power unit is development tendency for naval ship power
in which a kind of clutch transmitting power in bi-direction is demanded
i.e.bidirectional and controllable clutch.The application for bidirectional and controllable clutch in combined power unit is mainly discussed.According to clutch working characteristics
two pilot schemes are put forward
and the working theory and structure of two schemes are discussed and comparatively analyzed
so as to provide evidence for the design of bidirectional and controllable clutch in combined power unit.
