Surfaces shaped by conic sections are widely applied in engineering practice.Grinding machining based on custom macro B is proposed to improve efficiency and accuracy of taper ellipsoid manufacturing.The tool moves exactly according to the section equation within the tolerance.Machined taper ellipsoid is measured by CMM and compared with the theoretical curve.Experimental results agreed very well with the theoretical data

and the error is withen 0.025mm.The other axisymmetrical parts with conic section

can use this method to machine and measure.
