In order to study the contact stress of gear and rack
by using the contact stress calculation formula in the method of gear load capacity calculation
a contact stress of a pair of gear and rack is calculated
and the finite element model of the gear and rack is established by using ANSYS software.Then
the contact stress at different meshing location is separately solved.The calculation result of single meshing is approaching to the theoretical calculation value
it shows that the analysis accuracy of statics model is well
and the result that contact stress of single meshing is far greater than double meshing is obtained.
