Rigid-plastic finite element method is used to analyze the wear of the teeth cavity in the process of the warm forging of spiral bevel gear
Friction condition
workpiece temperature
forging speed and die hardness are investigated. From the investigation
the wear increases with the increase of the friction coefficient and decreases with increase of the forging speed
the workpiece temperature and hardness. And the hardness has most important effect on wear extent of die surface. All the studies may provide the reference for the technology process programming and service life of dies.
