In order to know the residual stress distribution of gears
blind hole-drilling method associated with electronic resistance gage method is used
and gears residual stress after induct quench is measured.The results show that the residual stress distribute has significantly improved after heat treatment.It mainly represents the stresses change from tensile stress before heat treatment into compression stress after heat treatment near the surface of gears.This transformation indicates that the materials of gears is strengthened through heat treatment.Simultaneously
the measuring residual stress method and process of blind hole method are introduced in details.
