the tooth profile and trace error of the involute cylindrical gear are usually measured by the mechanical generation-type gear measuring instrument in most domestic small and medium gear manufacturing enterprises.The system which can realize the automatic measuring and evaluation of the tooth profile and trace error of the involute cylindrical gear is developed based on the Lab Windows/CVI software

by integrating the gear measuring instrument MAAG SP-60

the function of plotting the error curve

processing the measuring data and forming measuring report is achieved

and the artificial evaluation is avoided.The experiment result shows that the designed system has the correct measuring and evaluation result

and meets the demand of high efficiency measuring.
