Clearance is an important parameter influencing on the performance of the rolling bearings.The influence law of clearance on load distribution of single row four-point contact ball slewing bearings is researched.Firstly
the statics model of the bearing is established and a set of equilibrium equations are obtained.Then
two bearings having different geometrical parameters and external loads are used as cases
the loads distributions are computed by using the statics model.Results show that with the increase of the clearance
the number of rollers undertaking the loads begins to decrease and the load of the roller undertaking the maximum load begins to increase gradually.If a smaller value is selected for the clearance
it is propitious to improve the carrying capacity of the bearing.
