The method and principle of the parametric design for electro-mechanical vehicular drivetrain are studied.The impact of the traction motor drive characteristic on drivetrain performance is analyzed
the relations of traction motor power rating
extended speed and shifts of drivetrain are investigated.Furthermore
a method of utilizing motor’s frictional power is brought forward
in which the extended speed of the motor can be enlarged.Several examples are presented to demonstrate that a much more reasonable solution to the motor power and shifts of drivetrain can be achieved
which is based on these strategies of parametric design.
