Wind turbine gearbox is a key part in MW wind power generator
which is more easily over load and has a high failure rate. It is necessary to analyzed
predict and opimize its performance. The finite element analysis(FEA) results of Taizhong Ⅲ 1.5MW wind turbine gearbox with two stages planet and one class parallel shaft are presented by using the software ANSYS. The strength of each stage gear of the gearbox are checked. The data of tooth profile and helical modification are obtained by the analysis. And the housing component and planet carrier as well as the splines are analyzed. The related data on the strength and stiffness of all the parts in wind turbine gearbox are provided. It lays a foundation for the reliability assessment and opitimization design of wind turbine gearbox.
