the discrete points’ three-dimensional coordinates of Gleason spiral bevel gear tooth surface is calculated through the method of computer simulation. A unified mathematical model is obtained through the NURBS Parametric surface fitting to different tooth surfaces’ coordinates points. On this basis
the curvature of tooth surfaces of various types of Gleason spiral bevel gear is researched and the mean curvature diagram is drew. Meanwhile the lation between the adjustment of processing parameters and the change of tooth surfaces’ mean curvature is studied. As a result
the theoretical foundation for the error-correction of tooth flank based on tooth surface’s curvature map is established.
