The parametric models of transverse involute and helix on the reference circle are established in software system through analyzing the basic principle and characteristics of involute helicoids
and the parametric 3D solid model of locomotive traction gears and the transmission system are also established. The model of several locomotive traction gear systems is built
the dynamical analysis for a kind of high-speed locomotive traction gear system is carried out. Research foundation is provided for analysis of strength and optimization design of gear driving system based on the model.
