dynamic coefficients of journal bearing and damping critical speed were solved by programming and calculating.The influences of bearing parameters
such as length-to-diameter ratio
minimum clearance ratio and preload coefficient on the damping critical speeds of the system were obtained.The results show that the damping critical speeds of the system are influenced by the structure parameters of journal bearing;damping critical speeds are higher than critical speeds of system which are not considered bearing damping;increasing length-to-diameter ratio and decreasing minimum clearance ratio and preload coefficient
