The contact stress calculation of the plate cam mechanism with translating roller-moving follower based of the Hertz contact theory is studied.The methods what are used to calculate the synthesis curvature radius of cam

contact line length of follower roller and allowed pressure angle of cam are discussed.It’s achieved that the method of designing the basic parameter of the moving roller plate cam according to contact strength.
