Influence of Gear Geometry Factors on the Elastohydrodynamic Lubrication Properties of A Gear Transmission[J]. 1998, (1). DOI: 10.16578/j.issn.1004.2539.1998.01.008.
By considering the compressibility of the fluid and the effects of the contact ratio on tooth load
the thermal elastohydradynamic lubrication analysis for spur involute gears is given.A parametric study is conducted to investigate the effects of gear geometry factors(including the module
tooth number and addendum modification coefficient)on the lubrication properties of a gear transmission under the condition of given gear ratio and centre distance. The distriction of the central film thickness
pressure
temperature and coefficients of friction along the line of action is obtained.
