Firstly

from the analysis of two order transmission function of the combined mechanisms

the design principle of a kind of the transmission mechanism is presented in this paper

in which the accelerations of the driven member at two limited positions are equal to zero.Then some of this kind of mechamism are presented including a Geneva mechanism in series

a guide bar mechanism in series and a planar five bar mechanism based on this principle.The design method of the transmission mechanism with known driven member displacement is also given.
