In order to find out the failure sources of teeth breakage on sprial bevel gears
competed analyses and researches dealing with design with design manufacture technology have been taken in this paper. in this paper. From the analyses on breaking sections
metallographic examination and the measurement on hardness. hardendepth & impact toughness
the results shows that the imperfection of mechanical process
the low temperature embrittlement of 20Cr2Ni4A steel which is used widely for heavy duty gears is the most important factor affecting the qualitites of gears during the heat treatment. By the deliberate investigation on low temperature embrittlement of 20Cr2Ni4A
it presents the reasonable low temper temperature range for manufacture.
