The structural characteristics of a variety of new type of hydraulic torque converter damper system are analyzed,and the torsional vibration analysis models of the transmission system with different damper systems are built based on a vehicle drive train parameters. According to the models,the natural frequency of these systems are compared. And the forced vibration characteristics of the transmission with TD system,new TTD system and new Twin TD system are compared. The results show that,for this transmission system,the use of TTD style is better than TD system and the use of Twin TD type damper system can achieve even better damping effect. The study has a certain help to torque converter damper system design.
