The transient dynamics method based on the nonlinear finite element is used for the simulation of a slider-crank mechanism with rigid and flexible body.The dynamic performances of the mechanism is achieved by considering the nonlinear condition of the materials,geometries and impact contact etc,which is useful for improving the design of the mechanism and enhancing the impact strength of the mechanism.
