In order to promote the scientific integrity, facilitate the peer review process, and strengthen the quality control of the journal, we set our ethical policies according to Academic Publishing Standards - Regulations on Academic Misconduct of Journals (CYT-174-2019), Code of Publishing Ethics for Scientific and Technological Journals, guidelines of the Committee of Publishing Ethics (COPE) and other relevant domestic and international codes, and combined with the practice of the journal.

 

For authors

(1) When making submission, the author shall guarantee that the manuscript is an original work, without plagiarism, data forgery, multiple submission, confidential issues, signature disputes or other academic misconduct. The editorial office ensures that each manuscript is tested by academic misconduct detection system developed by CNKI 's academic misconduct literature detection system ( AMLC ), and will reject the manuscript in which plagiarism or multiple submission is found. The Copyright Transfer Agreement signed by all authors shall be submitted.

 

(2) Authors shall be responsible for the authenticity of the article, and shall be responsible for providing original pictures, original data, funding certificates or other supporting materials.

 

(3)  “Ghost Author” is prohibited. No third-party is allowed to write, submit or revise the article on behalf of the authors. It is not allowed to provide false information of peer reviewers or to violate principles of authorship. Authors should be limited to those who have made significant contributions to the conception, design, implementation, or interpretation of the research. It is strictly forbidden to include persons irrelevant to the article. The order of authors shall be collectively determined before submission and shall not be changed thereafter. In case of any change, Application Form for Change of Authorship should be provided to the journal, in which all authors before and after the change shall sign their names. Authors should specify their contribution in the Authors Contribution Form and submit it along with the manuscript.

(4) Authors should contact the editorial office to withdraw the article before re-submitting it to another journal, so that the journal would terminate the process of reviewing and editing.

Manuscripts that have been published (including dissertations, conference papers, documents in other languages, etc., excluding articles that have been adapted from published articles with new data and results) cannot be published again. Dissertations that have been opened to public will not be accepted by the journal.

 

(5) All authors must disclose all potential conflicts of interest, i.e., when the financing / personal status / affiliation of the authors (or the authors' organization / employer) may affect the authors' decision, work or manuscript. When a product is involved, the author should also disclose whether there is a conflict of interest against competitive products. Authors should also submit Statement of Competing Interests along with the manuscript.

 

(6) The submission through the editing system (http://www.jxcd.net.cn) shall be regarded as agreement of authors to comply with the ethical policies of the journal. Once an academic misconduct is verified, we will immediately terminate review and editing process, reject the article, and publish an announcement. The investigation results will be reported to journals of the same field and relevant institutes. The editorial office reserves the right to file a lawsuit.

 

For reviewers

(1) The journal adopts a three-round review system, namely the preliminary review by editors, external review by peer experts and final review by the editor-in-chief. The external peer review is double-blind.

 

(2) Reviewers shall objectively and impartially make comment on the manuscript within the given time, and avoid rude, disparaging and discriminatory words or personal attacks. If the review cannot be completed within the given time, reviewers should notify the editorial office in time and recommend other experts for reviewing.

 

(3) Reviewers should respect the research achievements of authors and should not disclose or use data of unpublished articles without authorization.

 

(4) If any academic misconduct is found in the manuscript, reviewers shall inform the editorial office in time.

 

(5) If any conflict of interest is involved, reviewers should inform the editorial office in time, and the editorial office shall invite other experts to review the article.

 

For editors

(1) Editors must select manuscripts fairly and impartially. The selection criteria should be only based on quality, innovation, scientificity, practicality, and the requirement of the publishing scope.

 

(2) Editors must respect the research results of authors and the opinion of reviewers. All modification processes shall be operated in the editing system, so as to be trackable. Confidential content and review comments shall not be disclosed.

 

(3) For external review, editors should avoid reviewers who have conflicts of interest with the authors or the research, such as experts who are from the same institute as authors.

 

(4) Once the manuscript is accepted, editors shall arrange the issue for publishing or release the article online in time.

 

(5) During peer review, the relevant information of reviewers and authors should be kept confidential strictly.
