Research and Validation of Cage Design of High Speed Deep Groove Ball Bearings for New Energy Vehicles
High-speed deep groove ball bearings are widely used in drive motors and reducers of new energy vehicles
and the requirements of bearing accuracy
life and reliability are getting higher and higher with development of new energy vehicles technology. One of the main failures of high speed ball bearings is cage fractures. In this study
the relationship between the cage stress and the strain is systematically analyzed
the centrifugal force of the cage itself is indicated as the biggest influencing factor
and key points of cage design are proposed. The simulation results are verified by Abaqus and CABA3D; the bench test and customer installation testing are verified. The research is important for cage design of high speed ball bearings and improving bearing reliability.
