Fault Mechanism Analysis of Transmission System for a Shearer Rocker Arm
The rocker arm of underground shearer is the core equipment of coal mining machinery. The transmission system of rocker arm machine has the characteristics of heavy load,and the gear transmission system is difficult to lubricate,its working reliability has an important influence on the coal mining safety and the economic benefit of coal mining. Therefore,through the typical parts failure analysis of gear breaking and pitting corrosion of the transmission gears,bearing wear and gluing,and the physical characteristics test analysis of lubricating oil,the fault mechanism for the transmission system of rocker arm machine is studied. The results show that the physical properties of the selected lubricating oil have an important influence on the transmission system. Due to improper selection and maintenance of lubricating oil,the viscosity of the lubricating oil can not meet the lubrication requirements,which leads to the over-heating of the transmission system,bearing failure and partial overloading of the gear,even tooth pitting and partial broken teeth occurs,and further leads to the failure of the rocker gear transmission system. The research work provides a valuable reference for designing,using and maintaining of heavy-duty gear transmission systems.
